How Doctors and Employers Can Benefit from Virtual Reality Train…
The Doctors are discussing an area of concern for many people -- dark circles around the eyes -- and sharing ways to combat them.
We welcome Dr. Azadeh Shirazi, the creator of the Eyeglow procedure, and she demonstrates on patient Homa how injections can instantly address this issue. She uses a mixture of hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite, which minimizes that blueish hue and helps to achieve a white opaque product that can brighten the eye similar to concealer.

Dr. Shirazi explains the injections will help to lift the tissue around the eye and help fill out the hollowness, which can cause the appearance of dark circles.
After seeing the results of the procedure, Homa says, "I'm so excited, it's so great." Dr. Shirazi notes the procedure, which is placed very close to the bone near the eye, will last several years and would cost approximately $1,000 to 2,000 dollars.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon notes other procedure options to combat dark circles include hyaluronic acid injections, a laser treatment, or a TCA peel.

Additionally, there are plenty of inexpensive makeup techniques that can address the issue and Leslie shares some of the best tips she has learned over the years. She suggests to:
- Start with a cream-based concealer (in a honey shade) to mute blueish tones under the eyes
- Then use a synthetic bristle brush to apply a liquid-based concealer under the eye in a triangle pattern (which is the blended in)
- Next, apply translucent powder with a flat brush
- Lastly, do no line your eyes with dark makeup, but she says to line your eyes with a champagne hue
