Dr. Gundry says these fatigue symptoms can be addressed with what you eat and when you eat. You have probably heard of probiotics and prebiotics, but to "turbocharge your energy, he says it's all about postbiotics (also known as metabiotics, biogenics, or simply metabolites). He says eating foods high in fiber will help the body create postbiotics, which tell the body to make more energy.
This energy production influences important aspects of our health like hormone levels, mood, appetite, anxiety levels, and sleep quality. He suggests eating foods like radicchio (red lettuce), Belgian endive, sunchokes, asparagus, leeks, onions, sweet potatoes, and yams to produce more postbiotics.
Another way to help with fatigue is an "exercise snack," which is getting a small amount of exercise. Dr. Gundry explains if someone takes part in short moments of exercise over the course of their day, like taking the stairs or a quick walk, this can benefit the body and help energize you.
